Hi! I’m Renée.
I’ve always loved design, whether helping friends and family with design ideas or furniture arrangements to help traffic flow. Who would have thought how moving a chair from one side of a room to the other, changing a paint color, or moving furniture away from a wall could change the entire look and feel of a room.
Despite my love of design, I found myself struggling when I was young, just married and trying to design and furnish my new home. I didn’t have the confidence to make a lot of the decisions on my own, and I could not afford a professional designer at that time.
So I called Boston Architectural College. I offered myself up to work with a student to help me design my home. I would pay her and she could use my project in her portfolio. It was 1998, and that is when I met Nancy Boughton, we are still friends to this day.
I was inspired by Nancy. I admired her aesthetic, her work ethic, and what she does for her clients. Nancy works feverishly to save money, stay on budget and provide good advice for her clients.
I was so inspired by Nancy that I followed in her footsteps. Ten years later, I studied at Boston Architectural College, following her same path. To this day I am inspired by Nancy, my mentor.
That is where my design career began.
I take my work very personally. I feel so much personal satisfaction when my clients are excited about their new spaces. I see first-hand how design improves the quality of my clients’ lives. When I’m collaborating with clients and I see them get excited about the process, it means the world to me.
I am a true collaborator.
I love the details.
I’m not a yes person. I want to make sure people are spending their money wisely.
I don’t design what I love, I design what you love - a design solution that is comfortable and livable.
